OUR STORY
Angel Akunna Home Care and Respite Inc. came into existence in December 2021, founded by a husband-and-wife duo. Michelle brings a wealth of experience in various child-related fields, including mental health, behavioral health (focus on autism), Applied Behavior Analysis and Child Protective Services.,
As the world grappled with the challenges posed by the pandemic, and a new, unfamiliar normal took shape, Michelle and Franklyn were deeply touched by the plight of countless children diagnosed with autism and other intellectual disabilities, who found themselves without access to the services and support they desperately needed. This heartfelt concern became the catalyst for the creation of Angel Akunna.
Recognizing the importance of not just providing Applied Behavior Analysis therapy but also extending support to the heroic family members and caregivers who play an integral role in caring for their precious loved ones with autism, the founders of Angel Akunna embarked on their mission to make a meaningful difference in the lives of these families through Respite Services.
